I attended this debate. I respect Wu for agreeing to debate, and the debate clearly delineates the differences between he and Cornilles. Wu uses the populist cliches straight out of the Democratic party playbook, namely, blame it on Bush, sock it to the rich, and you can’t trust republicans with medicare and social security. Cornilles advocates instead going back to the principles Oregon is founded, namely, individal initiative and allowing folks to apply themselves for individual prosperity. The latter is what makes possible economic prosperity for Oregon at large, and the ability to fund safety net programs. I know which political philosphy I prefer, and this would be Rob Cornilles.
I was at the debate and it wasn’t even close. Rob exposed Wu for the hypocrite that he is. In Wu’s opening statement he droned on about inovation that made absolutely no sense. Quite frankly I am embarrassed that he is my representative in Congress. Wu tried to accuses Rob of adding to the deficit with tax cuts which drew groans and laughter from the audience because Wu has already voted for almost $2 Trillion in deficits in the last 18 months alone. The hypocracy in that statement is so thick you could choke on it. Rob is clearly the person we need in DC, he has my full support.
Here are 5 vidoes that I did on the Wu/Cornilles debate: I will be working on another 8 with Rob Cornilles’s answers etc. Please Copy and paste these links to everyone , so we can show Oregonians why we need to get rid of David Wu.
David Wu… gets most of his money from out of state and special interest!
He is a Pelosi puppet for their socialist Coup D Etat and the destruction of our form of Constitutional Republic. We need to put David Wu “on the ropes” and give” Robs for jobs” the heavy gloves to deliver the “Knock out punch”! Please give $50, $100 or $250 and “Lets do this”

Thank you, OP, for posting this video so that we can all see who are CD1 representative really is: a race-baiting, group-demonizing incompetent Pelosi sycophant. Mr. Cornilles wiped the floor with him. Let’s vote him OUT in November.

I think Rob’s offer of several more debates struck fear in Wu’s heart. When the program concluded, you could see Rob having to chase him down to shake his hand. I don’t think Wu will want to repeat that thrashing.
I have a small business with three retail locations and a commercial division. My wife has a CPA business. This debate made it very clear that Cornilles has a firm grasp on what is needed in our District while Wu showed how disconnected and ineffective he is and has been as our representative.
The simple fact of the matter is…why in the world would anyone believe anything someone from the democrat party is saying??? They have lied and defrauded this nation and personally, there is not a single thing Wu could say to EVER get my vote again. He is a rubber stamp for Pelosi and a total embarrassment to Oregon.
Did you people go to the same debate as me? I heard a tweedledee candidate in Cornilles from the same mold of Tea Party wannabes like Rand Paul and Sharron Angle, trying their best to sound like they care about the common voter when in actuality they spout old populist themes straight from the Faux News playbook and go home and check their stock prices in BP and Halliburton.
If Rob really thinks he can provide OPregon jobs, he should stay in the private sector because as he says, that is where he has experience.
We love top 50 lists such as this I just hope some one to create a top 20 on the topic of funny people.
