Information About the Office:
Current: Ted Kulongoski
Salary: $93,600 (7th Lowest in Nation)
Official Residence: Mahonia Hall in Salem
Terms: 4 years, limited to 2 in a twelve year span (no limit on total number of terms)
Eligibility: Must be at least 30 years old and a resident of Oregon for at least 3 years prior to the election
Votes Required: The person having the highest number of votes for Governor, shall be elected; but in case two or more persons shall have an equal and the highest number of votes for Governor, the two houses of the Legislative Assembly at the next regular session thereof, shall forthwith by joint vote, proceed to elect one of the said persons Governor (from Oregon Constitution, Article V)
